    We specialize in care for dogs, cats, and chickens, but we also offer services for other animals upon request. Just let us know what type of pet you have!
  • Do you offer overnight house sitting?
    Yes! Our in-home overnight house sitting services include complete pet care plus home upkeep, such as mail pickup, watering plants, and security checks. One of our motto's when house sitting is "we always leave the home in better shape than we found it."
  • Where do you board animals?
    We offer private, boutique-style pet boarding on quiet acreage in Bellaire, MI. Your pet stays in a peaceful home setting—not a crowded kennel. Our home is your pets' home.
  • Are you insured and experienced?
    Absolutely. Northern Paws Pet Care is fully insured and founded by Ashley Areeda, who has over 20 years of experience in animal rescue, fostering, and professional pet care.
  • How do I book a service?
    You can contact us through our website, email, or phone. We’ll follow up to schedule a meet-and-greet or consultation tailored to your needs.
  • What happens during a drop-in visit?
    Each drop-in visit is customized but typically includes feeding, potty breaks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and medication if needed. We also provide text updates, videos, and photos for your peace of mind.
  • What should I bring for pet boarding?
    Please bring your dog’s regular food and treats, any medications, and a favorite blanket or toy. We provide clean bedding, bowls, and plenty of love, attention, and toys.
  • Do you offer pet loss support?
    Yes. We provide compassionate pet loss and grief support, including anticipatory guidance, memorial planning, and one-on-one sessions to help you through the process.
